Buffalo, N.Y. - AP Wagner has implemented another innovative market approach through an integrated supply relationship with the Boscov's chain of department stores. The program, which officially began on May 1, 2002, will allow both companies to increase the value of their respective customer programs along with a dramatic improvement of service levels. The Integrated Supply program is a direct collaboration between AP Wagner and Boscov's. "This program will improve the local operations of both AP Wagner and Boscov's. Each company will pursue their areas of expertise. The integrated supply solution will allow both companies to better understand each others businesses along with paving the way for AP Wagner to expand our business in the future," says Mike Mangan, VP of Sales and Marketing. The program is based on AP Wagner's expertise in wholesale distribution and Boscov's long standing relationship with consumers. As part of the Integrated Supply Program, AP Wagner purchased Boscov's entire inventory of appliance parts and accessories along with consumer electronics parts and lawn and garden parts. AP Wagner now supplies 100% of Boscov's parts needs including all of the categories mentioned above. The deal has also allowed the Reading branch of AP Wagner to consolidate with the Reading branch of Boscov's. The consolidation has added four former Boscov's employees to the AP Wagner team. The official consolidation of the Reading Stores took place over the last weekend of June. The new combined branch is located inside the Boscov's department store with a sign that reads "Boscov's service, AP Wagner parts." Since the program has begun it has "exceeded all of the companies expectations," Mangan added. AP Wagner is the largest distributor of appliance parts and accessories in the Northeast and has 17 branch locations throughout the United States and Canada. AP Wagner's main headquarters are located at 2205 George Urban Boulevard in Depew, N.Y.
