How do I clean the range vent hood?WARNING! To avoid personal injury or death, disconnect your appliance from its power source before you start any troubleshooting or repair work. Use caution when working inside any appliance. If you have a painted range hood, you can clean it with a hot, damp cloth and a mild detergent, or use Mean Green, an excellent degreaser. Rinse it with a clean, hot, damp cloth to remove the detergent or degreaser, and then dry it with a clean cloth. If you have a stainless steel range hood, use this Stainless Steel Cleaner which is available on our website. Be sure to wipe the surface in the direction of the grain. Rinse it with clean, warm water and dry it with a clean cloth. Never use a steel wool scouring pad to clean your vent hood. It will only scratch the surface. Related Topics From Our Repair Forum
